Hanover Square Lands Eight-Book North American Deal for Thriller Writer Jack Jordan

Hanover Square Press has secured an eight-book deal to become Jack Jordan’s publisher in the U.S. and Canada, with the HarperCollins imprint set to begin the run in 2027. The first title under the agreement will be Conviction, a legal thriller now being developed into a Hulu series starring Elisabeth Moss.

The North American rights were acquired by Hanover Square editorial director John Glynn from Madeleine Milburn at her namesake agency in what was described as a major deal. The arrangement gives the imprint a long-term stake in the growing profile of the U.K. author, whose thriller career is increasingly tied to screen projects.

Conviction has become the centerpiece of that momentum. Hulu recently ordered a series adaptation of the novel, with House creator David Shore attached as writer and 20th Television producing. Jordan also has a multiyear development deal with 20th Television that extends beyond Conviction and covers his novels Deception and Redemption, along with future books and original scripts.

Hanover Square will publish Deception in June 2027 and Redemption in September 2027. The list also includes Before Her Eyes, Night by Night, Do No Harm, and A Woman Scorned, all of which will appear for the first time in North America between 2027 and 2029. Jack’s forthcoming 10th novel, Whiplash, is also part of the package and is scheduled for 2028.

The publishing deal arrives alongside a widening international rights campaign. Since the Hanover Square agreement was arranged, 13 translation deals have been signed at auction across Europe, Asia, and South America, suggesting strong overseas demand for Jordan’s work as it moves into new territories.

For Hanover Square, the acquisition adds a thriller writer whose books are already part of a broader entertainment strategy. Glynn said the imprint is eager to introduce North American readers to an author whose stories are resonating in Hollywood, while Jordan said he is pleased to join the list and to bring his books to the U.S. and Canadian market for the first time.

The agreement also reinforces Hanover Square’s role within HarperCollins’s Harlequin division as a home for commercially driven suspense fiction with crossover potential. With multiple novels, a new title on the way, and screen adaptations gathering pace, Jordan’s catalog is now positioned for a coordinated rollout in print and on screen over several years.
